The U.S. duo (Anders Manga & Devallia) have prepared a wonderfully creepy horror musical experience that pays homage to classic horror. Bloody Hammers' idea of a soundtrack for your favorite video nasties holds some surprises on their fifth album. Frontman Anders Manga infused the new album tracks with epic metal and hard rock nuances. OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
